Commercial Driving Licensure (Class B) Graduates (2018-19)

Maranacook Adult Education, working in collaboration with Central Maine Community College, the Career Center, Vocational Rehabilitation and Central and Western Maine Community Action succeed in granting 55 students free state class B licensing. Students selected to participate in the free training were selected based on greatest needs, with unemployed or underemployed individuals given highest priority.

Upon graduation from the training program, students are expected to obtain employment earning a livable wage within one month. To ensure students succeed with this goal, we maintain close working relationships with Augusta Fuel Company, Dead River, Western Maine Transportation, Pine State Trading, Lucas Tree, Waste Management, Maine Department of Transportation, Crooker, Augusta Public Works, Hammond Lumber, and Auburn Concrete.

Much, much more than just a certificate program, Maranacook Adult Education is a job program that ensures placement of every successful CDL graduate with an employer. With so many successful graduates in 2018-19, this has truly been a great year for our CDL program.
