Long time adult education student John Dorgosek, after 3 years in our program, graduated on May 3rd with his adult education diploma. Arriving at our program with a little over a 6 high school credits, John worked tirelessly to gain the 21 credits needed to graduate with an adult education diploma. John has been the most thoughtful and dedicated student I have ever encountered in my 20 years as an educator and is an inspiration to all.
Over the past several years in our program, John has repeatedly shared that the skills he has learned in test taking, math, reading comprehension and writing have helped him not only work toward his goal of achieving a diploma but have also helped him immensely in thriving in his current profession. John currently works at Darlings as an automobile mechanic where he is considered a leader in his field, offering advanced auto mechanics workshops and skills instruction to his fellow employees.
I am extremely proud of John and what he has accomplished and I want to thank the instructional staff, office personnel and school custodians for the support, warm words and friendly smiles they all offered to John over the past several years. Congratulations to John and a special thanks to all of the staff members at RSU 38 who helped John achieve his lifelong dream.
