Seven teachers in Maranacook Area Schools completed a PD Certificate to earn credits toward recertification!  Unique to schools in the state, Maranacook offers teachers a way to document learning and encourages teachers to practice what they are learning in their classrooms. Maranacook Community High School student Steven White, with support from Student Senate, has put together a Memorial Day tribute. Near the flagpole in the Bus circle are 211 flags. Each flag represents 20 soldiers from Maine who died in war since World War One. We thought folks might want to know why the flags are there and what they represent.
