Grade 5 Students End-of-Year Events:

For students attending RSU 38, Maranacook next year:

Friday, 5/26 - Students who will be attending RSU 38, Maranacook, will be attending school at MCMS from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Students will arrive on their regular AM bus and return to Fayette after lunch (12:30 p.m.)

Tuesday, 6/13 - Gr. 5  Step-up Day at RSU 38, Maranacook. Students attending Maranacook next year will arrive at MCMS after lunch (12:30 p.m.), spend the afternoon with their MCMS Advisee group, and return home by bus. If a student's house is located between MCMS and Fayette Central School, the student will be dropped off between 2:40 and 3:00 p.m. on the way back to FCS. The remainder of the students will ride their regular bus home from FCS, returning home at their regular time.

Tuesday, 6/13 - 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Parent/Student Ice Cream Social at the MCMS cafeteria.

For students attending Winthrop Middle School:

Tuesday, 6/13 - Gr. 5 Step-up Day at Winthrop Middle School. Students should arrive at 8:45 a.m. and will leave at 11:15 a.m.

Gr. 5 Graduation will be held on Monday, 6/19 at 9:30 a.m. at the Fayette Central School.

All other students, Pre-K - Gr. 4 will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Have a GREAT summer!

James HodgkinIntroducing James Hodgkin,
Fayette School System’s New Superintendent

We are pleased to have James Hodgkin as our new superintendent!  Mr. Hodgkin has 32 years in the educational field, which includes 29 years as a building or system leader.  He has worked in 8 districts during that time, including 3 years as the middle school director at Maranacook.  Mr. Hodgkin lives in Leeds with his wife (33 years married).  He has 4 children and a grandchild on the way.  Mr. Hodgkin has a Bachelor's degree from UMF and a Master's and CAS from Orono.  He has many varied interests and hobbies and is very excited to be a part of the Fayette School System!

Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation.

The grant was written by Joan Cook, the schoolkids-reading-book's consulting librarian, and brings the students a wonderful opportunity to experience a variety of new titles in the school's library.
