On Friday night, October 28th through Sunday afternoon on October 30th, Donna Latham (MCMS, 8th grade), Page Copeland (MCHS, 9th grade), and Kristen Levesque (MCHS Asst. Principal), went to the GEAR UP Seeds Training in Bangor, ME. The three days were very busy with valuable lessons on leadership and motivation with GEAR UP students and teams from all over the state of Maine. On Wednesday, October 19th, 2016, a group of Maranacook HS seniors attended an event with U.S. Senator Susan Collins on behalf of Resources First Foundation, a 501 c(3) national non-profit based in Falmouth, Maine dedicated to connecting people to conservation and keeping their working lands working. The students were able to meet Senator Collins individually and listen to her remarks on being responsible environmental stewards of the land.

Report on the Sculpture Symposium Trip on October 5, 2016 The exploration of contemporary sculpture is something that is annually a part of our curriculum in Intro to Art and Sculpture.
