Modeling Motion with Video Analysis

Steve DeAngelis, High School Science Teacher, will receive $500.00 for his project, Modeling Motion with Video Analysis. His project will enable students to generate their own videos of movement they see around them, digitize the movement, and use that data to analyze the science and math behind the movement. By using the iPad and video capture and analysis software, students can video movement (such as a basketball player jumping to take a shot), digitize the motion, and use the software to mathematically model the situation.
