We are excited to release our second Annual Calendar Raffle as a fundraiser for the PTCO and programs for our students. Thank you to local businesses and MES families who donated prizes to make this calendar as great as it is! There is over $2000 in cash and prizes to win including a $250 CASH PRIZE on the last day!!! 100% of the proceeds will go to the PTCO for enrichment programs.
Here is how it works – grab some from the office or you can print as many of these as you wish (Calendars will be sent in hard copy with students on Monday, 11/2/15 and in a separate email on the same date)– sell them for $10 each to friends, family and co-workers. People can purchase more than one raffle sheet if they wish. They keep the top portion and you return the bottom portion with the $10 to the school office. Every day starting on March 1, we will draw that day’s winner. Each ticket goes back into the pool so each ticket can win up to all 31 prizes!!!
RSU #38 is collecting the demographic data for children who would be eligible for the district wide Four Year Old Program. At this time we have not set the date for the screening, but would appreciate parents contacting Mrs. Norwood (email@example.com or 622-2949 ext 0) to have your child put on the list for potential screening. As soon as the date for screening is confirmed, we will contact parents for appointment times.

Kids and teens love using the messaging app Snapchat because it lets you send texts, pictures, and videos that you program to disappear after a few seconds. But parents should be aware that it's not actually true that Snaps disappear forever. Learn more about Snapchat here at Common Sense Media.
Manchester Board of Selectmen & Town Recreation Committee have approved the addition of a natural play-scape to compliment the Castle Town play equipment at the Manchester Elementary School! Playscape architect Sashie Misner has designed the area to invite curiosity, creativity, physical challenges, and learning with natural products.
You can help make this happen!
Your contributions will make possible the purchase of materials to create:
a garden area play hills with slides & climbers
imagination spaces plantings with paths and sitting space
logs & boulders for balance safe space defined by fences
With your help you, and many generations to follow, can come to this public area to play, discover, create, wonder, and learn.
Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Manchester Playscape Fund. Manchester Playscape Project
To ensure safety for all, the circle in front of the school is for busses only between 7:15-8:00 AM and 2:30-3:05 PM. Parents are asked to park in the rear school parking lot (near Castletown) when dropping off/picking up their child during that time. Please note, our school day does not start until 7:30 a.m. (all exterior doors are locked until this time and students will not be allowed to enter until 7:30 a.m.!) Additionally, students may not be dropped off on the playground until 7:30 a.m. because there are no duty teachers until this time!
