Thanks to 1st Grade Teacher Jessica Gurney for planning Field Day activities for MES on Friday, June 16th!  Jessica reports, “Somedays are about seeing the kids smile, laugh, and cheer each other on, regardless of the weather. That is why I love Field Day. We are all big kids at heart. I think everyone at MES will sleep good tonight!”  Also, thanks to the many volunteers and teachers who helped make the day great! Monday, June 12, 2017, students from the MCHS graduating class of 2017 marched through their old elementary schools to see their childhood teachers. It was a great experience for all those who participated. Even retired teachers came back to see their past students. Above are photos of students visiting Manchester Elementary School.

In computer class we have been using technology to follow Mrs. Poulin’s nephew Danny Moody (from Winthrop), Dan Giguere (from Manchester), and Danny’s dog Daisy on their trek along the Appalachian Trail.   This past winter Maine Public Broadcasting along with Landrover and Garmin were in search of some hikers that were going to be hiking the Appalachian Trail.  Danny and Dan applied and after an extensive application and interview process they were chosen.  You may have seen the piece on WCSH6’s show “207” where they interviewed the…
