Flower Pots by Pre-K- Pre- K students used a variety of painted paper and shapes to design their assemblages of brightly colored flower pots.
Seahorses by Kindergarten- We read the book, “Mr.Seahorse” by Eric Carle and then we were inspired to create our own Seahorses underwater.
Butterflies by Grade 1- Looking at Eric Carleís illustrations, each student created their own butterfly. They mimicked his collage technique, using hand painted papers to cut out shapes.
Pointillism Balloons by Grade 2- Pointillism is a technique of painting in which small dots of color are applied to patterns to form an image. Georges Seurat, a famous artist, developed the technique in 1886. Second Graders looked at works from Seurat and used his technique for their hot air balloons.
