On January 3rd the school board approved these changes to make up for lost student instructional time.
As outlined in the academic calendar, schools must be in session for 175 instructional days. Due to the storms on Tuesday, December 19 and December 20, we make up these 2 missed days on the following dates:
Wednesday, January 24th Early Release becomes a full student day
Tuesday, May 8th Early Release becomes a full student day
NOTE: The 2 afternoons will equal 1 make up day.
March 15 Teacher workshop becomes a Student day
NOTE: The Teachers have 7 workshop days so this change to student day means a teacher workshop day will be added to the end of the school year after students have been dismissed for the year. That date will be determined once we are through the winter storm season.
Also note that the plan at this time is the snowstorm on Monday, December 4th will be made up on Monday, June 10. The Thursday, December 21 closure will be made up on Tuesday, June 11.
