RSU 38 Maranacook Area Schools
Dear RSU 38 families, staff, and community members,
Our four Strategic Planning community forums begin this Thursday. RSU 38 has partnered with the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to develop the district's next strategic plan — the document that sets our goals and priorities for the years ahead — and these forums are where the community's voice is heard in that work.
📆One evening is dedicated to each town. Please plan to attend on the date listed for your town:
Thursday, September 24 — Manchester
Wednesday, September 30 — Mount Vernon
Thursday, October 1 — Readfield
Thursday, October 8 — Wayne
📍All four are held in the Maranacook Community High School cafeteria, 6:00–7:30 PM.
These sessions are for everyone, whether or not you currently have children in our schools. The conversation will focus on what is working well in our schools, what needs attention, and what you want in place for students in the years ahead. It is a working discussion, and its value comes from people being in the room together.
We have arranged two things to make it easier to be there.
🚌Transportation. Free bus rides leave the Manchester, Mount Vernon, and Wayne elementary schools at 5:15 PM and return after the forum.
Childcare. Free childcare is available at the high school during all four forums, for children in pre-kindergarten through grade 5.
For both, please sign up at least 48 hours before your forum date so we can plan accordingly.
