Dear Community Members,

As the school year comes to a close I would like to remind everyone of one important event that is very important to the Maranacook Area Schools/RSU #38. This important date is June 8th, in which you are encouraged to get out and vote on the proposed school budget for fiscal year 2021-2022. Polling information for our 4 towns follows:

TownTimeLocation

Readfield 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Alfond Athletic Center, Kents Hill
Wayne 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Ladd Center

We have put together a budget that meets our goal, “To support all students’ academic, social, and emotional success while maintaining fiscal responsibility.” Our budget for 2021-2022 year is $19,088,333, an increase of 0.93% from last school year. Each town will see a decrease to their contribution in the upcoming fiscal year if this budget passes at the polls on Tuesday, June 8. We hope you will support our efforts. I encourage everyone to get out to the polls to make their voice heard. Complete budget information can be found here. If you have any questions concerning this budget please feel free to contact me here at the central office. Thank you and enjoy the end-of-year celebrations that are happening in our schools and classrooms in the coming final week! Go Bears!

Sincerely,

James Charette Superintendent of Schools
