You heard that right, you can TEST DRIVE A SCHOOL BUS! Here is all you need to know:
When: July 29th 5:30PM – 6:30PM
Where: Maranacook High School Campus 2250 Millard Harrison Drive Readfield ME 04351
How?
- No need to RSVP but it would be fine if you like to call 685-3621 to secure a time slot.
- Make sure to bring a valid Driver’s License (we will need to see it prior to a test drive) and a protective face covering
- You need to be at least 21 years old
- Light refreshments
What happens?
Simple! You show up to one of our locations, and our team will greet you and take a quick look at your Driver’s License. You will then be set up with one of our friendly and knowledgeable School Bus Trainers, who will give you a short tour around the bus before you get in the driver’s seat. Your trainer will then briefly explain what the various buttons, levers, and mirrors are for and how to use them (you won’t be quizzed later, don’t worry!) and you’re ready to drive! Your trainer will guide you through a simple test drive course, and you will have successfully driven a school bus for the first time!
After you finish your test drive, our team will be available to chat and answer any additional questions you might have. If you decide you love driving a bus, we will have applications available on-site, but no pressure! We will also have a brief introduction to our upcoming CDL programs that will aid you in achieving your license.
